Digital Forensics

Digital Forensics is the process of recovering and analyzing data from an electronic device.  Because of the large presence of technology in today’s world, endless amounts of sensitive data and information are contained in home computers, laptops, phones and even GPS units. Digital files contain more than just the information we see when we open it. It also contains most, if not all, of its own ancestry. When looking into its roots, we can see when the file was made, how many versions of the file exists, where and when the file has traveled, and even who else has seen it. Using court-recognized software, we can recover this data and produce it as evidence alongside our expert testimony.

Computer forensics investigation should not be confused with the basic type of searches conducted by ordinary computer consultants. The Reveal Digital Forensics & Security computer forensics team locates and reconstructs each file or fragment to provide as evidence.

Data Recovery

When a crime has been committed, this data can be vital in building a solid foundation for a case. Recovery is not simply a matter of retrieving lost data in any way possible. To be admissible in court, certain procedures must be followed and failing to take these steps risks contaminating the evidence and rendering it useless. Using our years of investigative knowledge and integrity-oriented approach, the Reveal team can serve clients far better than other IT firms.
